The European Union has officially offered to stop deliveries from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline to Germany and Poland. Agency reports Bloomberg on the basis of documents received.
Regarding Berlin and Warsaw, it is noted that exceptions have been made within the scope of European sanctions, but there is a proposal in the documents to remove them from special provisions.
According to the agency, Germany and Poland have already stopped receiving crude oil from the pipeline and have fulfilled their earlier promises to cut costs.
“Exemptions allowing the transfer of (oil) via the southern branch of the line feeding Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic will remain in effect,” the statement said.
On May 9, the EUobserver announced that the European Commission intend to achieve Refusal to supply oil from Germany via the Druzhba pipeline to the country. This measure is being developed as part of the introduction of more anti-Russian sanctions.
Earlier, Polish authorities in April suggested To introduce a new package of anti-Russia sanctions, which prohibits the import of Russian oil from the northern part of the Druzhba pipeline.
