Business Ombudsman Boris Titov turned to Anton Vaino, head of the working group on monitoring and analyzing law enforcement in the field of entrepreneurship, with a proposal to ban workplace inspections without the mandatory approval of the prosecutor’s office. Titov proposes to make such changes to the law on operational-investigational activities. According to the press service, the proposal provides for the mandatory coordination of such investigations with the prosecution.

At the same time, in case of threats to the state, economic, information, military or environmental security of Russia, it is possible to notify the prosecutor’s office, starting from the proposal, within 48 hours after the start of the examination of a business. .

According to the Ombudsman, the innovation will reduce the number of views performed without sufficient justification.

Titov also proposed to enact the norm under which the seizure of original documents is carried out, only if certified copies fail to provide the solution of operational search activity tasks.
