At the same time, Irkut admitted that if the work in the hot part is mastered, 106 aircraft can be kept in operation.
As can be seen from the publication, the reduction in the fleet of superjets may occur due to the development of Russian-French SaM-146 engines installed on aircraft. Now they are not delivered to Russia, and PD-8 engines are expected to be delivered in 2024.
The article also concludes that the issue of repairing the superjet fleet has not yet been finally resolved. The publication says that the cost of it is estimated at 160-220 billion rubles.
