Potential problems with money transfers to postal operators in Poland and Slovakia have been reported.
Now citizens of Ukraine transfer money to themselves from currency debit cards up to 100 thousand hryvnia, which is the current limit of the country – $ 2.7 thousand per month.
The Central Bank of Ukraine drew attention to such transfers. According to him, money goes wrong – they are carried out according to the wrong payment code.
The Central Bank wrote an internal letter and sent it to the banking system. In it, the postal services of Poland and Slovakia are accused of miscoding – making payments using an incorrect (incorrect) trade code.
The regulator explained that each merchant and post office has its own payment code – MCC (MerchantCategoryCode), which must correspond to the type of activity.
The NBU urged Ukrainian financiers to more carefully control card transfers.
According to the publication, as a result, problems may arise for ordinary consumers who currently transfer money to Polish and Slovak post.
