European Parliament supports extension of duty-free trade with Ukraine for one year TASS.
The previous period expires on June 6, 2023 – as a result of voting (537 for, 42 against) the deal will expire on June 5, 2024.
On April 28, the Swedish Presidency of the European Council announced that EU ambassadors have voted to extend duty-free imports of goods from Ukraine to the EU, including agricultural products, for one year. But five countries – Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia – have agreed with the European Commission to ban Ukrainian grain exports to these countries.

The official explained that there is too much local grain in the warehouses and this puts pressure on the farmers because they fear there will not be enough space for a new crop.
