According to the website of the country’s Ministry of Finance, Ukraine received about 190 million euros from the World Bank for the salaries of civil servants and teachers.
Funds were provided on preferential terms from the International Development Association. They will be used to provide wages for employees of government agencies and teachers for February 2023.
Ukraine Rejects Former Prime Minister Shmyhal reportedThe European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has reportedly committed €1.5 billion for recovery this year.
He explained that he had discussed these issues with EBRD chief Odile Renaud-Basso. According to him, the bank plans to focus this year on supporting the public and private sectors, in particular supporting small and medium-sized businesses, financing road construction, collaborating with cities and communities, and supporting the energy sector.
He also thanked the EBRD for helping “with Ukraine’s needs in these difficult times”.
