Polish Ministry of Agriculture promised compensation to farmers for the cost of grain storage in Ukraine

“From June 5 to July 5, 2023, farmers will be able to electronically apply for a partial refund for purchasing a new storage facility with the necessary equipment,” the ministry said.

In addition, it is stated that at the expense of the federal budget, farmers can be reimbursed for the cost of installation and transportation of equipment. Young farmers will receive reimbursement of up to 60% (up to $14,5k) of all costs, while other workers will receive compensation of up to 50% (up to $12,000) of all costs.

The ministry added that Warsaw buys about 2 million tons of grain annually from Ukraine.
