The calls of European countries to give up fossil fuels, which were voiced at the 27th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-27) in November 2022, have not brought tangible results so far. The European Union (EU) delegation’s requests for the highest carbon emissions by 2025 have also failed, informs Bloomberg agency.
The calls by European officials and politicians to oppose the use of coal, oil and gas in many ways did not find enough supporters due to the position of Russia, Saudi Arabia and China. The next climate summit will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 30 November to 12 December this year.
