Russian Post Corporation has proposed to the Ministry of Digital Transformation to collect an infrastructure payment from online stores in support of its losing post office network. In this respect Wrote The Interfax agency cites a source close to the company.
According to the addressee of the publication, in accordance with the idea of Russian Post, to make a payment in favor of the postal operator in the amount of 0.5% of the quarterly turnover of goods from the owners of the marketplace with an annual revenue of 1 billion rubles and other participants in the e-commerce market.
The organization also proposed to appoint to citizens the status of a guarantor of a supplier of e-commerce products at the federal level, which is committed to ensuring the availability of e-commerce products and their guaranteed delivery throughout Russia.
Among other things, the initiative will help the company meet its operating obligations and maintain the network of post offices used to deliver related goods.
