First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Alexei Zhuravlev (leader of the Fatherland party) proposed to label goods from hostile countries with the inscription “Manufactured by the enemy of Russia”. It has been reported DEA News.
The deputy pointed out that “many Western companies that have officially announced their departure from Russia are still trying in one way or another to continue to sell their products in the Russian Federation.” He expressed confidence that such goods should be labeled “manufactured by the enemy of Russia” and “always in capital letters and in the most conspicuous place”. According to the politician, this must be done “so that the buyer knows that by giving his money he is also financing the enemy.”
He also noted that “many of those who left the Russian market with a loud slamming of the door are now slowly returning under a different name, without specifically advertising it.” According to Zhuravlev, they return to Russia “in cooperation with the manufacturers” from friendly states.
“Not paying attention to such expansion would be at least unreasonable – while publicly condemning the country, companies continue to make money from it, the situation is absurd,” he added.
In December last year, the Russian government assigned tasks 35% for some goods imported from non-friendly countries.
