In the relevant publication on the agency’s website, it is stated that Moldova intends to join the EU decision on the introduction of a temporary measure for imports of Ukrainian wheat, rapeseed, corn and sunflower seeds in transit through Ukraine.
“Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Volodymyr Bolya informed his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Solsky about this,” the statement said.
The official explained that there is too much local grain in the warehouses and this puts pressure on the farmers because they fear there will not be enough space for a new crop.
