According to Khusnullin, thanks to selfless work, in February the automobile part of the bridge was fully opened a month and a half ahead of schedule.
“We have now started traffic on the second line of the railway section – and also ahead of schedule,” wrote the Deputy Prime Minister.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean bridge, which caused a fuel tank on the railway part of the bridge to burn. As a result, two spans of the bridge collapsed and five people died.
