Putin says Western TV shows keep quiet about problems in the economy

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, said that he periodically watches Western television programs, in which economic problems remain silent. It has been reported TASS.

“I watch Western analytics, sometimes I watch European and American news programs, but that’s totally implicit, just nobody really talks about it on an expert level,” the president said of his impressions.

In response, Reshetnikov noted that many countries have had to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic through large loans that provoke inflation. According to the minister, the West will have to pay the price, it is impossible not to react to rising inflation.

Kristalina Georgieva, Director of the International Monetary Fund warned about the risk of dividing the world into warring economic blocs.
