Farmers are in no hurry to sell grain at low prices, despite the promises of the authorities in the form of additional payments. In this respect declaration Robert Telus, Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, published by Wirtualna Polska.
“The biggest problem is that the farmers haven’t gone to the buying points yet,” Telyus said.
According to him, the authorities are encouraging local farmers to go to these points, because in the future there may be a large number of farmers at these points at the last moment and this will become a definite problem.
He added that storage facilities in Poland must be emptied before the new crop can be harvested.
