Russia exported 10.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in January-April 2023. This is 11% less than the reported January-April 2022 Reuters With reference to data from the Refinitiv Eikon portal. At the same time, the volume of LNG supply to Europe remained at last year’s level.
According to the agency, Russia supplied 6.4 million tons of LNG to Europe and 3.7 million tons of LNG to Asia during the period under review. From the publication, in January-April last year, 6.4 million tons of fuel were supplied from Russia to Europe, and to Asia – 5.3 million tons.
The material adds that the total volume of LNG exports from Russia in April fell to 2.48 million tons (2.6 million tons in March), of which 1.2 million tons were shipped to Europe.
According to Gas Infrastructure Europe, LNG supplies to the EU market reached the highest level in history in April this year. During this month, LNG terminals in Europe sent 12,073 billion cubic meters of fuel to the gas transmission grid.
