The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to double the subsidies for civil shipbuilding, which now amounts to 14 billion rubles. In the meeting with the Deputy Prime Ministers, declaration Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“This year we will allocate 14 billion rubles from the budget for the development, mass production and modernization of ship equipment production. That’s double last year,” said Mishustin.

According to him, some Russian industries, including shipbuilders, found themselves in a difficult position due to the refusal of a number of deliveries by Western partners due to sanctions. Due to the great importance of this sector in the economy, it was decided to increase the amount of subsidies.

He added that we are talking about civil shipbuilding. In this case, subsidy recipients will be able to recoup up to 80% of their expenditure.

At the end of March, the Russian government approved the possibility of renting in the construction of ships to be used for the production of fish products.

Before that, Kommersant newspaper wrote that the total tonnage of all ships launched at Russian shipyards in 2022 increased by more than half compared to last year. At the same time, ships and the ships themselves were launched 20% less.
