“The world market is large, there are also many indicators of different varieties. We are watching them and the discounts are falling. A spokesperson for the ministry stated that they recorded a generally positive trend, adding that “it is possible to work with buyers and the market is responding to it”.
It also announced that marker-grade fuel discounts are now down. At the same time, a representative from the ministry noted that the representativeness of foreign price indicators for Russian oil “raises questions” in connection with which discussions are underway to develop its own indicators.
The oil discount is the price difference between the market cost of Russian oil and the cost of Brent oil. Accordingly, the decrease in the discount means that the price of Russian oil has increased compared to global indicators.
