Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that sanctions were imposed on a number of individuals and institutions of the European Union and the UK. It has been reported TASS.

“The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after consultation with the relevant authorities and within the framework of the relevant rules and mechanisms, includes the following EU and UK persons and entities on the sanctions list for supporting terrorism and terrorist groups, inciting terrorist acts and violence against Iran. The Iranian people are interfering in Iran’s internal affairs.

It was stated that 11 natural persons and one legal person, as well as six natural persons and three British legal persons, are subject to restrictions from the European Union. It was noted that if those within the scope of the sanctions are in Iran’s jurisdiction, their bank accounts and assets will be blocked.

Nasser Kanaani, spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will accept Retaliatory measures against the European Union in connection with its new sanctions against a number of Iranian officials and organizations.

Before that the EU extended Personal sanctions against Iranian individuals and entities involved in suppressing protests in this country.
