South Ossetia’s electricity and gas debt to Russia has exceeded 1 billion rubles, said Atsamaz Kabisov, director of state enterprise Energoresurs – South Ossetia. DEA News.

“We owe Russia 445 million rubles for gas and 607 million rubles for electricity,” Kabisov said.

He added that South Ossetia plans to meet with Russia on debt repayment. The head of the state-owned organization stressed that those who do not pay in the future will be disconnected from the network. He noted that the company may disconnect subscribers after two payment periods following the corresponding warning.
