Bank of Georgia TBC warns customers of possible closure for sanctions violation

Georgian bank TBC, the country’s largest bank, has sent warnings to its customers that it will close accounts if sanctions against Russia are breached, the report said. Web site financial institution.

“Please note that if the bank detects a transaction that violates sanctions, it reserves the right to close the customer’s accounts without prior notice,” the message reads.

The credit institution recalled that in February last year, the United States, European Union and the United Kingdom imposed sanctions against Russia, which imposed restrictions on transactions and transactions of individuals and legal entities, blocking of assets and export restrictions.
