Russian credit institutions should bear more responsibility for the actions of financial fraudsters, as the consequences are “eliminated” by consumers. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, speaking in the State Duma. Wrote agency TASS.
According to him, in 2022, the regulatory body has significantly increased its work, especially on the prevention of fraudulent activities, the necessary legal basis has emerged. As a result, the number of successful attacks by intruders decreased. At the same time, the number of attacks increased, as noted by the head of the Central Bank of Russia.
“But we need to keep working and banks must take on a big responsibility because now only humans solve the consequences of social engineering,” Nabiullina said.
