Hungarian Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy said the republic will impose a temporary ban on imports of grain and some agricultural products from Ukraine. He said this in an interview with the MTI agency. TASS.

“During negotiations with the European Commission, Hungary managed to preserve the results and measures related to the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products,” he said.

He also noted that Hungary will receive funding to help farmers, which the European Commission agreed to allocate in the second part of 100 million Euros.

Nagy also added that Hungarian authorities will ensure the transit of grain from Ukraine through their territory, thereby ensuring that grain is delivered to “final destinations”, including countries in Asia and Africa.
