In April, Polish authorities proposed to introduce a new package of anti-Russian sanctions that would ban the import of Russian oil from the northern part of the Druzhba pipeline. This, with reference to the relevant document, reports Reuters.
It was noted that the proposal of the Polish side includes a ban on imports of diamonds and natural gas, including liquefied natural gas from Russia, and limits cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
Warsaw’s proposal was sent in writing to the European Commission, according to a diplomatic source of the agency.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine announced the decision of Poland. Forbidden imports of grain and some other foodstuffs violate an agreement reached in April. The Ukrainian ministry stressed that they understand that Polish farmers are in a difficult situation, but noted that it is “the most difficult situation for Ukrainian farmers”.
