The presence of foreign brands in Moscow shopping centers has almost halved in the first quarter of 2023. In this respect writer RBC cites data from a study by consulting firm Nikoliers.
According to the results of the first quarter of 2023, the share of foreign brands in large-format shopping centers in Moscow amounted to 35.9%, which is almost twice less than in the fourth quarter of 2021. At the same time, the evacuated buildings are actively occupied by domestic organizations. Among them are those who are already actively developing in the Russian market and those who have acquired the business of foreign companies.
The publication stated that new players from other countries have also entered the Russian market. For example, last year, dozens of new brands, more than half of which are Turkish, started to operate in Russia.
