American company Yum! Brands exited the Russian market by completing the sale of its KFC business in Russia to Smart Service. In this respect reported on the company’s website.
Yummy! Brands completed its exit from the Russian market by selling its KFC business in Russia to Smart Service Ltd., a local operator led by Konstantin Yurievich Kotov and Audrey Eduardovich Oskolkov.
The press release stated that the deal includes the sale of the main franchise and trademark rights of all Russian KFC restaurants, the operating system and the Rostic brand. At the same time, as part of the sale and acquisition, Smart Service has committed to retaining the jobs of all employees of the company.
The message added that Smart Service will first convert more than 100 KFC restaurants in Russia into Rostic’s restaurant.
27 February RBC, referring to the AmRest message WroteThat the leadership of the Polish holding AmRest decided to replace the buyers of 215 restaurants of the KFC fast food chain in the Russian market. The company will sell the assets not to the limited company Almira, as previously envisaged, but to the Izhevsk firm Smart-Service.
