According to him, Italy reduced the share of gas supplies from Russia to 10%, increasing the supply from Africa and the Adriatic Sea. Previously, the share of imported Russian gas was 40 percent.

According to him, the two complexes being built in Piombino and Ravenna will be operational by the summer. They will produce 10 billion cubic meters of gas that Italy bought from Russia in 2022. At the same time, in 2021 the country bought up to 40% of fuel from all consumption from the Russian Federation, and by 2022 this figure fell to 16%.
