From April 15, 2023 to March 31, 2024, an experiment will be held in Russia to label red and black caviar. Relevant government decree signed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“To conduct an experiment on marking with means of identification of sturgeon caviar and salmon caviar (red caviar) packaged in consumer packaging on the territory of the Russian Federation from April 15, 2023 to March 31, 2024,” the document says.
Several federal departments will monitor the implementation of the relevant decree. The government said that among them are the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg), the Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture), the Federal Fisheries Agency and others.
