The Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov said that foreign companies will be taxed at the rate of 10% of the transaction amount related to the sale of business in Russia. He said this in an interview on the TV channel. “Russia 24”.

“We decided to impose a 10% tax on the exit of foreigners from Russia. In other words, on the contrary, we are creating conditions so that foreign-owned companies continue to work here and that exit does not benefit foreign trade.”

At the same time, he noted that all incentive measures for doing business in Russia, including foreign companies, will continue.

“So, if the decision to leave is taken, but yes, that exit will be associated with certain costs, including this 10% exit tax on the amount of a business sales transaction in Russia,” he said.
