Alfa-Bank, together with Rostelecom, has released digital financial assets for institutional and private investors. This was reported by the press service of the company.
“Rostelecom acted as the issuing entity of digital financial assets in the form of a cash claim of 750 million rubles and fixed interest income of 9% per annum for a period of 90 days,” the message reads.
It was noted that Alfa-Bank was the consultant and regulator of the issue. At the same time, the placement took place on the A-Token Bank platform. Plasma’s investors include large commercial banks, legal entities and individuals, including Alfa-Bank.
Recall that in February 2023, Alfa-Bank announced the launch of its own A-Token platform for working with digital financial assets. The platform allows all categories of investors to give free liquidity or companies to participate in raising capital. In the same month, the bank conducted a trial issue of 10 million rubles of its own digital financial assets for a pilot group of private investors.
The bank announced that it plans to issue similar monetary receivables on a regular basis this year to attract short- and long-term financing with corporate customers. In addition, there are plans to launch hybrid digital assets that include the delivery of the underlying physical asset along with cash demands based on the price of tradable and non-tradable underlying assets.
