The Soyuzcement organization, which includes major industry players, has asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) to check the validity of the decisions of the organizations that make up the Russian Federation to impose traffic restrictions on regional roads in the spring. These restrictions resulted from the need to dry the roads after the snow had melted, but prevented some firms from properly transporting goods, informs The newspaper “Kommersant”, with reference to the corresponding letter from Soyuzcement.
Regions traditionally prohibit the movement of heavy vehicles on the roads for up to 30 days in April-June. At the regional level, measures were taken this year in 67 constituent units of the Russian Federation, including Bashkortostan, Mordovia, Bryansk, Ryazan, Lipetsk, Voronezh regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
