BP begins oil production in the Gulf of Mexico on its new Argos platform

British oil and gas company BP has started oil production on the new Argos offshore platform in the US Gulf of Mexico. In this respect says in a company press release. He states that Argos is BP’s first new manufacturing facility in the Gulf of Mexico since 2008.

The report states that the gross production capacity of the platform is 140,000 barrels of oil per day. With this platform, BP plans to increase the company’s gross operating capacity in the Gulf of Mexico by approximately 20%. BP expects to increase production in the Gulf of Mexico to 400,000 barrels of oil per day by the middle of this decade.
