According to the results of the first quarter of this year, the demand of residents to purchase apartments in new buildings in Moscow and the Moscow Region has decreased significantly. In the capital, this figure fell by 31% (in the old city limits) and 52% (in the new ones), respectively, and in the Moscow region by 47%, informs The newspaper Izvestia cites statistics from Dolgov PRO analysts.

“Demand for new buildings in Moscow has fallen critically. According to the results of the first quarter of this year, one third (31%) fewer lots were sold on the old borders of Moscow compared to the first quarter of 2022. The decrease in sales across the Moscow region amounted to 42%. The material was sold in New Moscow, the least of all apartments (-52%), and in the Moscow region, demand fell by 47%, ”says.

At the same time, the average square meter cost of housing sold in new buildings in the first quarter of this year has hardly changed throughout the year and amounted to 345 thousand rubles. Over the 12 months, this figure fell by 0.8 percent.
