In the period from March 2022 to March 2023, Russian citizens tried to illegally export more than 1 billion rubles to foreign countries. The number of such violations increased by 70% in 12 months, informs The newspaper Izvestia cites statistics from the Federal Customs Service (FTS).

The number of such violations increased by 70% <….> The total amount of violations detected during cash exports reached 1.04 billion rubles. The volume of illegally imported funds decreased by 1.5 times to 463.8 million rubles, ”the article states.

The Ministry concluded that the main reasons for the increasing cases of violations in the export of funds are the impossibility of making transfers through banks and using Russian cards in some foreign countries that impose sanctions on Moscow.
