In 2022, 47.2% of Russians started saving on goods and services. This is indicated in the work of the company Profi, received by the editors of socialbites.ca. At the same time, 16.4% of respondents began to spend less on goods and 16.2% on services. He didn’t have to save the rest. The Russians named those services that they were ready to refuse in the first place when the economy mode was turned on. The list includes the services of fitness trainers, beauticians and home help.
18.7% of respondents are ready to save on the services of fitness trainers. 17.8% of respondents may reject beauticians. 17.7% of them are ready not to resort to helpers at home. The remaining respondents, who are willing to stop spending on services to save money, are willing to spend less on the services of tutors, psychologists, veterinarians, car mechanics, lawyers, accountants, and real estate agents.
39.5% of the respondents decided to do these tasks on their own, another 10.8% reported that it was impossible to replace “their” specialists. The rest named other options available to you – seek help from friends or look for a more budget option.
40.5% of the respondents are not ready to give up services completely for the sake of savings. They identified several reasons for this decision – the unwillingness to do this work, the insufficient speed and quality of implementation compared to a specialist. Respondents also stated that saving on services would result in additional costs or admitted that they would be worried about doing unusual things.
The study was carried out using a survey of Russians in March 2023.
