Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Canada plans to transfer funds from seized assets belonging to the Russian Federation for the defense and reconstruction of Ukraine. Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel.
He noted that Canada has launched another package of sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals.
“The AN-124 aircraft blocked in Canada, the Volga-Dnepr company fell under sanctions. The next step is to confiscate Ruslan and other assets and transfer them to Ukraine. We continue to work,” wrote the Ukrainian prime minister.
Also, Shmyhal added that Canada has announced a new military aid package. He stated that Kiev will receive 21,000 assault rifles, 38 machine guns and more than 2.4 million rounds from Canada.
