Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto announced the extension of an agreement with Russian state energy company Gazprom, under which Hungary has the right to delay gas payments in case of a sharp rise in prices. “It has been decided that a number of agreements will remain in force, which retains the possibility of Hungary’s deferred payment in case of a sharp increase in prices (for gas),” Szijjártó said.
