Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto announced the extension of an agreement with Russian state energy company Gazprom, under which Hungary has the right to delay gas payments in case of a sharp rise in prices. This was discussed during the negotiations in Moscow between Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and the head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Wrote agency RIA Novosti.

“It has been decided that a number of agreements will remain in force, which retains the possibility of Hungary’s deferred payment in case of a sharp increase in prices (for gas),” Szijjártó said.
