Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture pledges to strengthen control of grain from Ukraine

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Istvan Nagy, said the country is tightening control over grains and oilseeds imported from Ukraine. It gives information about DEA News.

“We are taking new measures to curb the dumping of grain from Ukraine,” he said.

Nagy is also proposing to restore quantity restrictions and taxes on Ukrainian agricultural products to save local farmers from lowering grain prices.

According to the minister, Hungary has for some time welcomed the introduction of a digital system to control grain crops and the movement of goods.

We are further strengthening the control over imported products by paying special attention to transit deliveries.”
