The Turkish Grand National Assembly began to amend the legislation necessary for the gas distribution center, which is the center of international gas trade, to become operational. According to him, the first legislative decisions on the gas distribution center passed the parliament. The Minister said that thanks to them, the oil and gas company Botaş (Botaş) and other companies can work much more efficiently.
“With the opening of the gas trading centre, prices will also drop, which is important for Europe. Turkey will become one of the markets that determine the reference price of gas.”
The Minister said that Turkey is currently considering cooperation options with other countries for the transport and sale of gas to Europe. Dönmez said that there are agreements with Azerbaijan on the establishment of a joint venture.
