The trade volume between Russia and Vietnam is expected to reach 10 billion dollars by 2030. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“Vietnam is our long-term partner whose relations have traditionally been friendly and not subject to market fluctuations. Strengthening the strategic partnership with Vietnam is one of the priorities of Russian foreign policy in the region. As a guide, we see a trade target of US$ 10 billion by 2030,” Chernyshenko said after the meeting of the intergovernmental commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation (quoted by TASS).

In particular, the Russian embassy in Hanoi suggested removing some procedures and documents for Vietnamese citizens who want to enter Russia.
Russian Ambassador to Hanoi, Gennady Bezdetko, noted that if the visa facilitation decision comes into effect, Vietnam and Russia may take action to abolish the visa.
