Russian President Vladimir Putin said the country needs mechanisms to regulate the procedure for changing ownership of foreign companies if they leave. The head of state said this at the Council of State meeting, reports DEA News.
“Of course, it is necessary to think about approaches that will take into account the positions of the regions when making decisions when changing the ownership of foreign companies,” said Putin.
In his opinion, such a mechanism will help the further development of the regions of the Russian Federation.
The President also asked the heads of the Russian regions to coordinate these issues with the government. The head of state noted that a “green light” should not always be created for companies from countries that acted “wrongly” regarding the Russian Federation, and that it should be based on the facts.
