According to the company’s press service, the renewal of Rosneft’s production in 2022 with an increase in reserves exceeded 100%.

In 2022, Rosneft completed more than 4.4 thousand linear kilometers of 2D seismic surveys and 6.8 thousand square kilometers of 3D seismic surveys on land in Russia.

Rosneft specialists completed testing of 64 exploratory wells. As a result of the studies, 7 fields with reserves in the category AB1C1 + B2C2, equivalent to approximately 0.3 billion tons of oil, and more than 150 new hydrocarbon deposits were discovered.

As part of the Vostok Oil project, 2,000 square kilometers of 2D seismic survey and 2,000 square kilometers of 3D seismic survey were completed in 2022. Increasing data accuracy and reducing time costs, the Slip-Sweep technique made it possible to complete a record amount of 3D work on the Payahsky cluster in a single batch.

In addition, the construction of 4 wells has been completed, 6 exploration wells have been drilled, and 5 more wells are in the testing phase.

Two new oil fields of category C1 + C2, which have more than 100 million tons of recoverable oil reserves of the Zapadno-Irkinsky and Peschanoye license blocks, were put on the state balance sheet.

When drilling a multilateral exploratory well, experts from the East Siberian Oil and Gas Company achieved a record initial oil volume in the entire 15-year history of exploratory drilling at the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field. The flow rate of the fountain entrance was 603 cubic meters per day.

Rosneft also achieved a significant increase in reserves: 159.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent in the АВ1С1+В2С2 category as of December 31, 2022. According to the international PRMS classification: 42.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent category 1P, 84.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent – 2P, 132.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent – 3P. With the increase in 2P reserves, the renewal of production exceeded 100 percent.

In May 2022, the company released a new RN-KIM software package designed to create hydrodynamic models of all types of sites. In addition, RN-BashNIPIneft is actively developing the RN-GEOSIM software, on which 92 full-scale geological models of Rosneft’s fields are built. It is used in their work by 13 Russian enterprises, including seven Rosneft subsidiaries.
