Central Bank: Less than a quarter of Russian households had debt in 2022

Last year, less than a quarter (23.1%) of Russian households had debt. Citizens owed the most consumer loans (10.5%), informs Referring to the results of a study by Central Bank (CB) analysts, RIA Novosti.

The Russian household survey was conducted in the middle of last year. The median debt of citizens for all types of debt amounted to 140 thousand rubles. The largest figure was recorded in the segment of real estate purchases – 973.9 thousand rubles, the smallest – for consumer loans (100 thousand rubles), mentioned in the article.

The indicator of the debt burden in this region is at the level of 108.8% (it was 103.5% a year ago), while the Republic of Tyva, the second to last region, is 98.6%.
