Veterinarian Mikhail Shelyakov chatting with Reedus supported The Veterinary Drug Manufacturers Association, which recommends a list of essential medicines for animals. He stressed that such a decision would actually take the business of veterinarians out of the “grey zone”.

“The paradox is that, according to current veterinary legislation, veterinarians do not have the right to work with drugs, and given that all clinics work, it turns out that they violate everything. “If we’re talking about vital drugs for animals, then they should all be labeled veterinary,” he said.

He added that although it is very laborious, creating a list of essential drugs is a serious and important step. In his opinion, funds for vaccination, antiviral drugs, antibiotics, anesthesia and awakening drugs should be brought there.
