Grain trader Viterra Limited ceases export activities in Russia from 1 July TASS With reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The ministry said the company is currently considering the possibility of transferring Russian assets to new owners.

March 29 edition of the RBC with reference to Oksana Lut, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reportedCargill Corporation’s subsidiary in Russia will stop grain exports from Russia in the future agricultural year 2023/2024 (from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024). This decision was taken in line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The ministry also added that niches vacated by the departure of a number of foreign companies from the Russian agricultural market are gradually being filled by local companies. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to work with all foreign companies whose activities contribute to the development of the export potential of the Russian agricultural market.
