The amount of social pension will increase from 1 April. The newspaper Vedomosti wrote that this was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a report in the State Duma on the work of the government.
“We will maintain existing support measures for the most vulnerable categories of citizens. From April 1, we will increase social pensions in addition to the indexation made in June last year. This assistance is provided to citizens who do not have sufficient work experience to receive insurance pension.
According to the Prime Minister, the level of social pensions in Russia increased by 13.5% during the year. As the Prime Minister stated, the new increase will improve the level of pension provision for 4 million Russians.
