At the same time, the share of citizens who prefer to buy expensive goods on the contrary decreased from 28 percent to 25 percent. At the same time, 18% of Russians in March found it difficult to answer what is better – to save or spend. In February, their share was 17%. “In March, the proportion of respondents choosing to save free money rather than buying expensive goods … rose to the maximum since May 2018,” the comment says.
Of those who preferred to save, 37% preferred bank deposits and 36% preferred cash. 13% of respondents rated both forms as the best way to save. 5% of respondents think that none of the forms are ideal for savings. 9% found it difficult to answer.
The survey was conducted by inFOM in Russian cities of 100,000 inhabitants in March. and more. Men aged 18-65 and women aged 18-60 participated.
