Orban: EU countries agree to protect farmers from lowering prices of grain from Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that during the EU summit, Central European countries, led by Poland, agreed to protect farmers from dumping prices for Ukrainian grain. He wrote this on his Facebook account (Meta’s owner was considered an extremist in Russia and was banned).

“The EU summit is over. Central European countries, under the coordination of Mateusz Morawiecki, will work together to protect farmers from the harmful effects of dumping on Ukrainian grains.”

Earlier, it was reported that the European Commission has allocated €56 million to farmers due to the overstocking of Ukrainian grain on the market – the money will be used to save granaries from Ukrainian products. By “frontline” countries we mean the eastern members of the European Union, primarily Poland – here the farmers went to rallies demands to bail out the market from Ukrainian grain.
