Economist: Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot use Starlink to attack drones in new regions of Russian Federation

The Starlink satellite system blocks its terminals in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot use them to launch drones behind Russia. These release reports Economist Citing a source in Ukrainian military intelligence.

According to the source of the publication, in such a situation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces has to use more expensive communication systems.

Starlink is a global satellite system deployed by SpaceX to provide high-speed broadband satellite Internet access.

In early February, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk declarationthis will not allow the conflict in Ukraine to escalate and a third world war to begin. Musk noted that the Starlink network is necessary for communication in Ukraine, and should not be used for climbing.
