The Ukrainian company Starlink won the lawsuit against the American company SpaceX.

The Kiev Economic Court refused to honor SpaceX’s claim, which last fall sued Starlink with a request to waive its trademark rights.

The lawsuit states that the Ukrainian Starlink LLC registered a trademark in February 2011, while the American company Starlink, owned by SpaceX, was founded only in 2015.

The American company acquired the rights to the brand of the same name only in Ukraine in August 2022. SpaceX’s “daughter” in Ukraine is called “Starlink Ukraine”.
