State Duma deputy Mikhail Romanov, the first deputy chairman of the control committee, says that the decision to pay Sberbank a record dividend of 565 billion rubles for a difficult 2022 is an honest and timely step and sets an example for all Russian enterprises.
“The state, as the main shareholder of Sberbank, can finally get half of the amount, that is, 282 billion rubles, into the budget – these funds will be used to implement state priorities and social programs,” said the parliamentarian.
He also described the statement of the Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref as important that the bank will keep the capital and all indicators above the standards of the Central Bank after the dividend payment.

According to the deputy, Sberbank should have sufficient resources for active lending to the economy today and the creation of sovereign Russian technologies in the interests of both financial and state digitization.
